Hot stone massage has a history spanning thousands of years. Native Americans, Indians, and—according to some sources—even ancient Hungarian shamans used heated stones and minerals placed on the body for healing purposes. The treatment is based on a specialized massage technique that incorporates elements of energy-centered therapy, acupressure, and aromatherapy. Instead of manual massage, smooth volcanic basalt and marble stones are used. These stones, in various sizes, are heated to around 50–60°C (122–140°F). Beyond the relaxing experience itself, hot stone massage offers numerous benefits: it promotes energy flow, relieves stress, and improves overall well-being. It enhances blood circulation, supports detoxification, relaxes muscles, alleviates insomnia, and is highly beneficial for the skin, as the deep heat allows oils to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin.

A test ellazulása mellett a szellem is relaxál, a végeredmény pedig fizikai és lelki megújulás, kiegyensúlyozottság. A merev izületek és izmok visszanyerik rugalmasságukat, a lélek pedig meditatív állapotba kerül. Kúraszerű alkalmazása javasolt, de már egy kezelés is érezhető változást eredményez.
